(7th and 8th Graders)

The 2011/12 Confirmation Class returns this school year and with a completely new look! Pastor Jack Lohr will lead the studies on specified Sundays from noon to 1pm. (Pizza for all 11:45am - noon.) Lynn Lucas will start them off running during Sunday School time. All parents will rotate as 2nd classroom helpers each week. We are aware that confirmation classes sometimes meet at the same time as MSYG.

In addition to the class room lectures, students will have different opportunities throughout the entire Confirmation Year (September - May) to establish meaningful relationships with their fellow confirmands and their families as well as their mentors (of their own choosing) through various vehicles like:
•
potluck lunch with mentor and confirmand families
•
weekend confirmation retreat at the Holmes Presbyterian Camp & Conference Center,
•
overnight Nightwatch outing at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC,
•
year long service project together
This year's Children's Christian Education Bulletin Board (outside the Akin Room) will profile our 2012 Confirmation Class.
